Beqa Lagoon, Fiji Shark Dive

Here are a couple photos from a shark dive led by the talented Aquatrek team in Pacific Harbour, who give a portion of their proceeds to a local village to help maintain this marine protected area. The feeding attracted silvertip sharks, bull sharks, lemon sharks, nurse sharks, and many smaller reef sharks.

A video of the underwater scene in Fiji:

This was my first time in the ocean with my enormous new camera rig, so I was struggling to get these big critters well lit. I’d appreciate any feedback you have for an amateur photographer like me: jkb@ucsc.edu

The next few photos, my dad took of me wrestling with my camera rig underwater for the first time!
